Answer The Call
Monday, January 05, 2009
Some Christians are like a fire department that never leaves the firehouse. They train and study better ways to fight fires but when the alarm rings, they reply, “We're not prepared to answer calls like this.” Christ left His followers a mandate to go and put out the fire in man’s soul, the fire of sin and hell. The alarm is ringing...are we going to answering the call?

God created us \"needy people\". We need water, we need food, we need air, we need sleep and not just sometimes but all the time... three squares a day, 8 glasses, every breath, 7 hours a night.... every day. Ever thought about why God created us needy? We are needy in other ways too. We need Him and each other.
The Woman At The Well

The Samaritan woman at the well is no angel. Mixed up with a wrong crowd, this poor woman has quite a reputation. After meeting Jesus, The woman had her sins "washed away" by Jesus. The story shows that Jesus offers divine mercy in the living water of grace, which washes away sins and cleanses souls. The woman went to the well to get a jug of water. Instead, she got much more, including a cleansed and refreshed spiritual life.

And His Name Shall Be Called
Sunday, November 16, 2008
When Jesus wants to help us or one of our neighbors, the Spirit is at work setting it all up so God's will is done. From the Spirit's work in John the Baptist's birth to His work in Mary and Elizabeth; from Simeon and Anna to the shepherds and the wise men; and even the stars and angels. Truly all the cosmos participated in the birth of Jesus.
Stumbling Blocks
Monday, November 10, 2008
Ever wonder why we end up with low self-esteems or immobilizing stumbling blocks that keep us from getting to where we want to be? It always has something to do with what we believe about ourselves and what we believe about God. At the Gathering, we are going to look at how God works that all out.
